Mr. Tham, Chek Chung, Associate, is a principal consultant providing training and coaching to various kind of industries that embarks on continuous improvements based on the Lean 6 Sigma Methodology.

Mr. Tham obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Wichita State University, Kansas, USA (1995). He began his career in 1996 as a Production Engineer in an electronic company which produced television parts.

In 1997, Mr. Tham joined an aluminum manufacturing company (Alcan/Novelis group) that produced rolled aluminium products through roll casting and cold rolling. Within his 10yrs of experience, he had taken up several positions including Process Engineer, Team Leader, Assistant Casting Manager and Black Belt. He led a team of 40 employees and was responsible for non-stop production including safety and quality. His ability to guide and solve problems in an innovative way led him to pursue Lean Six Sigma. His remarkable performance and vast experiences in manufacturing processes made him become a talent for the company.
As a certified Black Belt, Mr. Tham was frequently led Kaizen events, TPM task force teams and Lean Six Sigma projects. A Black Belt projects which he had completed related to productivity improvement and capital reduction resulted in returning a value of US$500K annually. Besides that, he was also responsible for the project selection, training and coaching of Green Belts and guided them until project completion with good results.

Mr. Tham was also been certified in Manufacturing Management by Federation of Malaysia Manufactures (FMM), ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14000 as an internal auditor. On top of that, he put himself into an extreme physical & mental test in a Leadership Development Program conducted by Outward Bound Malaysia, Lumut.

Mr. Tham is one of the co-founders of LSS Academy Sdn Bhd. Since our incorporation in 2007, Mr. Tham has lead several Lean Six Sigma capability development projects both within the Manufacturing and Services Industries. Amongst which includes clients such as DHL Global Business Services, DHL askHR Shared Services, Multimedia Development Corp (MDeC), Sweettape Manufacturing, NewCrest Mining and Patimas Computer Services (R&D with Design for Six Sigma).

Ms. Sabee Chai, graduated from Wichita State University, Kansas, USA with a Bachelor Degree majoring in Industrial Engineering.  She began her career as a process engineer and a Six Sigma Black Belt for ChungHwa Picture Tube, where she successfully accomplished several Six Sigma initiatives individually and with a team of Green Belts.

Sabee has successfully implemented Kaizen solutions in production and process environments using the DMAIC methodology and specific tools such as 5S, waste reduction, time studies and process balancing.  She also has several years of experience working in China as a Product Manager and Six Sigma Black Belt, incorporating Lean methodology into manufacturing. The initiatives undertaken, included working with clients such as Adidas, PUMA, and UHLSPORT who had developed specific Voice of Customer needs.  She was able to apply and transfer the Six Sigma such as FMEA and Lean knowledge to the product design and development team, eliminating production defects, optimizing cost and maximizing profit of products manufactured for the above clients.  Sabee is also certified as an ISO 9001:2000 internal auditor in manufacturing management.
Her major achievements had led her became an award winning Lean Practitioner.  Amongst her achievement is a Black Belt project, that related to productivity improvement, returning a value of US$170K annually. She also successfully conducted training and coaching of Black Belts and Green Belts, guiding them to project completion with good results.  She is a Lean and Six Sigma practitioner, providing training and coaching to various kind of multinational companies including DHL Global Business Services, Clariant, Danone and Patimas Computer Services that have embarked on continuous improvements based on the Lean 6 Sigma Methodology. Sabee has also successfully delivered several Executive and White Belt Lean Six Sigma workshops in the Mandarin Language for clients in China.
