The leaders of LSS Academy have the motivation of innovating new process automation technology and methodologies based on the critical value drivers for our clients to discover new ways of improvements and performances. In addition, this leadership team strives to enable seamless implementation of these improvements, culture and technology, at our client’s site.

Driven by the continuously changing needs, problems and opportunities, the leadership team of LSS Academy focuses on the intellectual strength, technology and the flexibility to change enabling the ability to adapt to the changing opportunities that creates value to our clients.

Leadership is deliberately causing people-driven actions in a planned way to accomplish the leaders agenda. Thought leadership is an increasingly vital driver of business success. It’s also an emerging discipline in its own right. Our ability to understand its core practices and then, effectively apply them is the key to positioning ourselves and our companies for next level growth.

LSS Academy’s Managing Director – Dr. Arul Aruleswaran

Moving into a career of research and development, continuous improvement and Lean 6 Sigma, Dr. Arul joined Alcan in Banbury Laboratories, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom in 2001. He started as research scientist for Aluminium rolling and continuous casting process and engineering measurement technologies later moving on to Novelis Inc Global Technology Centre in Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 2004 for Lean 6 Sigma based continuous improvements, strategic and multi-generational planning for the Aluminium Light Gauge Metal business group and Technology Innovation group.

Among Dr. Arul’s finest Lean 6 Sigma achievements was a project to scope out a suite of projects to eliminate losses of process waste. The 6 sigma project is estimated to return US $3MM in value creation and reduce the dependence of tier 1 material supply. The project has both a positive economic and environmental impact. Dr. Arul led that project using a diverse group of engineers and operations personnel using the methodologies of Lean 6 Sigma. This work broke new ground by developing the required methods and tools to perform “scoping projects” and will serve to lead others to do the same.
